What is Ozu?
Ozu is an AI film studio for iPad. Its automated pipeline helps you develop your script, visualize cast, sets, and props, then generate storyboards, video, dialogue, sound effects, and music. Ozu delivers the first cut. You make the final cut.Who is Ozu for?

Final Draft (.fdx), Fountain (.fountain), and plain text. Standard INT. / EXT. scene headers help. Features, shorts, music-video treatments, and commercial scripts all work.
How does the pipeline work?
Work moves through seven rooms in the top bar: Writers’ Room → Recording Booth → Script Breakdown → Director Review Board → Storyboard → Editing Room → Export Breakdown turns the script into scenes, shots, and beats, plus a parts list (actors, props, sets). You approve looks at Director Review, board every beat in Storyboard, assemble the first cut in Editing Room, then export. See Getting Started and Everywhere in Ozu.Do I have to visit every room?
For a full first cut, yes; that’s the critical path. You can move quickly through Recording Booth or keep score light if you’re testing picture. Approving at Director Review unlocks Storyboard right away.Who is Ozu (the person in the chat)?
Ozu is your Assistant Director, the persona in chat and chrome. He helps workshop the script, keep context across rooms, and push the work forward. The product is also named Ozu; when docs say “chat with Ozu,” they mean the AD.How does camera / reframing work?
In Storyboard, reframe a beat by drawing the composition you want. Ozu regenerates that take with the new framing, with the same approved cast and sets. See Camera control and Reframing beats.How do credits work?
Every AI generation consumes credits. Managing plans and packs is on the web at app.ozu.studio; creative work stays on the iPad. See Credits and Quotas.Do unused credits carry over?
